Trauma has been called the “word of the decade” and it has become part of the mainstream conversation in America today. Trauma is both an individual story, as well as a community and collective story. How do we understand the impact of trauma from the moment of impact of violent death through the continuum of treatment of traumatic grief and other life traumas? Maybe even more importantly, how do we get our arms around the co-occurrence of all these processes (individual, community & collective trauma) at the same time?
This workshop will provide a chance to think about trauma in new and different ways - and in so doing create innovative ways of solving problems that more effectively meet the challenge of the moment.
